    ObjectiveWisconsin is leading the way in novel approaches monitoringhealth outcomes for opioid-related adverse events. This panel willshare innovative public health informatics methods that harnessvarious data sources (e.g., Prescription Drug Monitoring Data(PDMP), death, birth and hospitalization data) for population healthsurveillance. Discussion will include topics on detection of drug abuseand diversion, identifying potential neonatal abstinence syndromecases, surveillance of substance-related hospitalizations and overdosedeaths, and modeling opioid-related mortality risk factors.Figure 1.
