Access to Health Care and Use of Health Care Services Among Males in Africa: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Access to Health Care and Use of Health Care Services Among Males in Africa: Protocol for a Scoping Review

In essence, this scoping review will seek to describe the variations in health-seeking behaviors among males across the African continent, assess their access to and use of health care services, and identify both challenges and facilitators of health care uptake. Additionally, it will explore males’ knowledge, attitudes, perceptions, and beliefs regarding their health care needs and available services.

Mobile Apps for Vaccination Services: Content Analysis and Quality Assessment

Mobile Apps for Vaccination Services: Content Analysis and Quality Assessment

Children’s parents can keep abreast of their children’s vaccination status, vaccine appointment schedules, inventory information of the vaccination unit, online consultations on vaccination-related knowledge, independent booking of vaccination appointments, and other convenient and user-friendly services [6]. These apps are accessible, optimize the efficiency of services [7-9], enhance the motivation to vaccinate, and improve vaccination rates [7,10,11]. These findings are widely recognized in academia.

Quality, Usability, and Trust Challenges to Effective Data Use in the Deployment and Use of the Bangladesh Nutrition Information System Dashboard: Qualitative Study

Quality, Usability, and Trust Challenges to Effective Data Use in the Deployment and Use of the Bangladesh Nutrition Information System Dashboard: Qualitative Study

As Bangladesh’s nutritional programming is provided under 2 distinct directorates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare—the Directorate General of Health Services and the Directorate General of Family Planning—the NIS plays a critical role in integrating nutrition-related service data into 1 system which provides an overview of national nutrition progress [16].

Implementation of Patient-Reported Outcomes in a Medical Oncology Setting (the iPROMOS Study): Type II Hybrid Implementation Study

Implementation of Patient-Reported Outcomes in a Medical Oncology Setting (the iPROMOS Study): Type II Hybrid Implementation Study

For health services, the use of PROMs for symptom measurement has led to a reduction in emergency presentations and hospital admissions, without increasing clinical workloads [5-7]. These benefits are thought to be due to improved symptom detection by clinicians enabling better supportive care [8-10]. Despite this evidence and an increased uptake of PROMs in routine care, successful implementation in routine care has been inconsistent due to the complex nature of PROMs interventions [4].

Preferences for Text Messaging Supports During Youth Transition to Adult Mental Health Services: Theory-Informed Modified e-Delphi Study

Preferences for Text Messaging Supports During Youth Transition to Adult Mental Health Services: Theory-Informed Modified e-Delphi Study

Significantly, it is during this time in their lives when youth no longer qualify for most child services and must meet eligibility criteria if they need to access adult mental health services [3]. This transition period is associated with higher rates of treatment disengagement [4], illness progression [5], and youth feeling that their voices are not being heard [6,7].

Digital Maturity as a Predictor of Quality and Safety Outcomes in US Hospitals: Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Digital Maturity as a Predictor of Quality and Safety Outcomes in US Hospitals: Cross-Sectional Observational Study

Specifically, research that has examined the benefits of digital health technologies on effectiveness and quality of care is skewed toward mental health services and behavioral therapies [2]. There are considerable gaps in the evidence of the impact of digital health transformation on cost, equitable care outcomes, and patient-centered care for hospitals or health systems [2].

Implementing a Hospital Call Center Service for Mental Health in Uganda: User-Centered Design Approach

We conducted semistructured focus group discussions (FGDs) in which we explored participants’ experience of mental illness and mental health care in Uganda (including unmet information and supportive care needs); experience with call center services from the commercial service sector or other digital health care services; and opinions about a proposed digital mental health service (ie, feasibility, appropriateness, expected benefits, or recommendations for successful implementation).

Addressing Hospital Overwhelm During the COVID-19 Pandemic by Using a Primary Health Care–Based Integrated Health System: Modeling Study

Legido-Quigley and colleagues [7] argued that well-developed integration was a key factor of services influencing resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic in high-performing health systems. Prompt communication and coordination among PHC, public health, and secondary care are essential [22].

Adapting a Dutch Web-Based Intervention to Support Family Caregivers of People With Dementia in the UK Context: Accelerated Experience-Based Co-Design

Adapting a Dutch Web-Based Intervention to Support Family Caregivers of People With Dementia in the UK Context: Accelerated Experience-Based Co-Design

Publicly funded community-based services (such as daycare centers) have declined by 30% since 2005 despite rapid growth in the number of people with dementia [11] placing an additional burden on caregivers. These trends are seen across Europe as demographic and budgetary pressures have intensified due to public spending cuts arising from the impacts of the 2008 financial crisis [11] and the COVID-19 pandemic.
