Abstract
The Joint Incentive Fund (JIF) promotes innovative DoD/VA sharing initiatives. DoD and VA completed a JIF project whose objectives include: improved biosurveillance of combined VA/ DoD populations and determining an optimal business model enabling more efficiency by consolidation of assets, and greater biosurveillance collaboration. Chiefly, this analysis utilized the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to objectively evaluate six possible solutions and potential end states. Two high scoring solution sets were identified via the analysis and are planned for future pursuit in order to improve syndromic biosurveillance across the agencies.
