%X Syndromic surveillance can be a useful tool for the early detection outbreak. Mayotte Island is a French overseas department located in the North of Mozambique Channel in the Indian Ocean. Due to its geographical and socio-demographical situation, the population of this island is widely exposed to infectious diseases. The implementation of a syndromic surveillance system allowed to detect several unusual events as an outbreak of conjunctivitis in March 2012.
